What to watch on TV tonight: Monday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Connected (RTÉ 2, 10.30pm)

This self-shot documentary following six women living in Ireland in 2014 was one of the more interesting elements of the channel’s autumn line-up. Amongst the women featured are rapper Elayne (AKA Temper-Mental MissElayneous), mum of three Venetia and pole dancer Kate. #connected

Darndale: Edge of Town (TV3, 9pm)

Another slice of Irish life comes from TV3 in the form of this documentary about Darndale, one of Dublin’s toughest neighbourhoods. Locals share their stories of the area and how it has changed over the years, from a once-promising social housing project to a crime hotspot.

Catch Me If You Can (TG4, 9.3opm)

Young Leonardo DiCaprio charms in this drama based on the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr, who posed as a doctor, a pilot and a lawyer to fund his extravagant lifestyle. Tom Hanks stars as the FBI agent determined to bring him down. It’s a Monday. You need some fun.

Everybody’s talking about… Janet Grogan

The X Factor wouldn’t be the same without a plucky Irish contestant winning Louis Walsh’s heart, and this season it’s Janet Grogan from Tallaght.

The X Factor UK / YouTube

Last night, she impressed the judges with a powerful rendition of U2′s I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For – and earned herself a ticket to the boot camp stages.

Everyone is DELIGHTED for her.
